By far one of my favorite things about working in higher ed is the fashion. Yes, the fashion. The incredible variety that you will find at committee meetings, for example, where both faculty, administrators, and executives are involved. My last committee meeting had a gentleman wearing cargo khakis, a bright red tee (with some sort of image on it), and a short sleeve blue button-up, unbuttoned. It looked what the IT kids wore when they were in high school. There was a woman wearing fitted trousers (no judging there, I wear fitted trousers as you know) tucking into Uggs (judge judge judge!). Who wears Uggs out of the house, unless you are a college student or maybe you're running a quick errand. But more importantly, who wears Uggs to work... on a day when you have a meeting?!? Wednesday  night! I haven't blogged in a while so here we go. This week I trimmed my hair and my bangs. This is what my bangs look like now . This is what they looked like prior to now , just kinda flopping around purposelessly. It's quite layered. I never thought I could layer my long hair but it's loverly. This is what I look like now.  Hair is unstyled. It was styled yesterday. This morning I just brushed it. The bangs would lie nicer if I'd used a flat iron. I am also trying to wear lipstick or gloss more often. This is a Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Pinkerbell and it's an awesome blue-toned pink. I love this formula. Topped with Beauty Rush gloss in Ice Tease. I've decided that squeeze tube lip glosses with plastic applicators are my favorite. It's much easier to wipe transferred lipstick off the slanted applicator than it is to wipe it off of a doefoot. My makeup has been on for 6 hours, the photo includes no touch ups! This is what I wore today. I've got nothing to say about it. MY FACE HURTS (more on this later) I've also included a photo of me, in my closet, with my shirt and vest unbuttoned. Day 21(Wednesday): Black skinny cords, white dotted tee, black cardigan, black embellished flats In addition, we have a pick of my freshly re-dyed hair and Day 22 (Thursday): Black jeggings, purple dress, black boots Day 23 (Friday): Skinny jeans, black tee, furry vest, embellished flats I'm quite sad that I forgot to photograph this outfit, as it marks the first furry vest wearing of the not-quite-Fall. I took it off once it warmed up, though. No weekend pics this time. KSwiss has made me ill and I spent all weekend lying about feeling poorly. Day 24 (Monday): Gray skinny trousers, navy thin-knit turtleneck sweater, black pumps. Oh and I wore my "leather" jacket into work today. Still feeling poorly, but powering through.
