OMG! How much more fun can a day get? Okay, so I get my license (YEEEAAA!), then I go to J.C. Penney's and talk to da boss man. Then I go have lunch with dad and mom *yess free schlotsky's!*. Then... I get to drive.. by my self... for the very first time.... OMG I feel like I could book it and run away to Toronto if I wanted to (i'd make a detour to New London of course!). Not that I want to run away, but the knowledge that I can if I wanna... its very freeing. Anyway, after that, I got my cell phone and chilled at home for a while. Went to the mall to meet Tiffany and then we went down town. We ran into Jeff, Grace, Anyway, we stood and talked for a long time (more fun than it sounds... esp with the neo-hippies trying to sell us cd's, and the screaming bob jones evangelists) then went to eat at Wild Wing Cafe. Then we all left and me and tiffany had this guy hold up the gate thingy at the parking garage so we didn't have to pay b/c we spent all our money at dinner! lol! On the way home, when we were in TR, tiff and I were side by side at a light and i looked over at her and winked and the light turned green and I so beat her butt! Lol! This is at about 1 am down town TR! So, first night I get my license, I don't get home 'til one am, but I called! So, it's all good.

HNT #2

So, this is my second HNT. I was reading the guidelines and they say: Half-Nekkid Thursday is the celebration of exposure. Of your big toe. Of your breastbone. Of your knuckles. Of your uvula. Whatever. Because I'm not quite brave enough to put up some photos like some others do -- but I love to see them! -- this idea appealed to me. The idea of "exposure" but not necessarily sexual. I actually dress quite modestly, but not because I am a modest person, but rather because I gained about 45 lbs in one semester. I went from 105 to 150lbs. And I'm 5'2. So, it's not a small amount on my frame. [I am down to 143, yay! :-)] I am rather uncomfortable with my body. However, there are still parts of my body that I like. I rather like what the weight gain has done to my, umm, upper torso . (Not a big fan of what happened to the lower torso, though.) Conferences

I don't know about some people, but I LOVE going to conferences! I have a great boss and co-worker, and the other members of the organization are really great. Especially the State organization. You really get to know people in the State organization since it's much smaller (I believe 72 attendees this year). This year the state conference was at Graylyn. It was complete with butlers, a cadre of footmen, a couple suits of armor, and more free ice cream than you can shake a stick at. There was food EVERYWHERE. Except the first day, in which I was very hungry. But after that, EVE-RY-WHERE. I'll update this with pics later. Also, I suck at giving presentations. I zoomed through my section and then when I stepped back, I whispered to Sandra "did I talk way too fast?" She laughed and said yes, but it was fine. Ugh. But, I keep doing them. Hopefully, one day, I will suck slightly less. At least the state conferences are very small so that I'm not the only new...
