If you were silent, do you think your friends would notice? I'm usually loud, jovial. I like to be seen as happy, whether I am or not. One day at lunch, I sat down. Someone asked me a question, I nodded my head. Tim commented on my mace earrings. I grinned and shook my head from side to side so they would bounce off my cheeks. Andrew asked why I wasn't saying anything. "It's unusual to have a silent Mary." I laughed and said that I hadn't meant to be silent. HNT #2

So, this is my second HNT. I was reading the guidelines and they say: Half-Nekkid Thursday is the celebration of exposure. Of your big toe. Of your breastbone. Of your knuckles. Of your uvula. Whatever. Because I'm not quite brave enough to put up some photos like some others do -- but I love to see them! -- this idea appealed to me. The idea of "exposure" but not necessarily sexual. I actually dress quite modestly, but not because I am a modest person, but rather because I gained about 45 lbs in one semester. I went from 105 to 150lbs. And I'm 5'2. So, it's not a small amount on my frame. [I am down to 143, yay! :-)] I am rather uncomfortable with my body. However, there are still parts of my body that I like. I rather like what the weight gain has done to my, umm, upper torso . (Not a big fan of what happened to the lower torso, though.) Dear D, enjoy the hangover. I feel your pain! Not tonight, but I have before. My major is english. I love literature and I love to write (as you know). I'm not really sure what I plan to do with it. I am enamoured with literature. Oh, poetry, how I love thee! I would love to share that knowledge with others in the form of teaching, but I really, am painfully afraid of getting in front of large groups of people. In fact, there was a poetry reading tonight and I could not find the strenght to stand. We will see. Perhaps I will find a way to make money with my writing. I am pleased that I look like Gogo from Kill Bill. I have flail earrings and I tried to be her for halloween one year (I couldn't get a real flail). I had the school girl outfit, but instead of a flail, I carried a riding crop, so I was more schoolgirl dominatrix. I don't crush on that hypnotist or anything.
