I'm lead to wonder if, in reporting this story, any actual research was done. Did any correspondent play the game or even view the bits about adoption in full? Did you consider that the whole point of the "adoption joke" is that there is nothing wrong with being adopted? That's the joke -- that Wheatley's insults are pointless and that being adopted is not a bad thing. You cut out the clip where GLaDOS tries to get Wheatley to explain what so wrong with being adopted. He fails. In the game, it is shown that Wheatley's insults are stupid. WBTV and Neil Stapel have twisted the context of the joke. How could the father of an adopted little girl be "shocked and surprised" to find that the game is saying that there is nothing wrong with adoption? I notice you don't mention the fact that Wheatley also calls the character fat and unpopular. Are you saying that it's okay to call people fat and unpopular, but not adopted? The only press you are b

WAT DO

When I get home from work today, I don't know what video game to play. Here are my options: *Gemcraft -- This has been calling to me today, after I read an article about flash games. It's a fun tower defense game. I beat the first Gemcraft and I've gotten through 1/2 of the second game, but now there is a 3rd. *Fable II -- I still haven't beaten Fable II and Fable III is in the plastic because of this. Now, hover, we have a giant beautiful TV. So, it seems like I really ought to do this thing. Now is also a good time because K-Swiss has been attached to a PC game lately. That game is.. * League of Legends -- The game of choice lately. K-Swiss, Sir Tim and I all play together. It's free Multiplayer Online Battle Arena game. I need about 1500 more influence points before I can buy my girl Katarina, and you get between 50-150 per game. Probably 20 games left before I can afford her (ghey).

Okay, well I have just discovered this website where you can get stuff for free. Like books. I love books. And other things, but mostly, I've been bidding on books. Anyway, it's called Listia . When you sign up, you get something like 450 credits. You can use these credits to bid on items. You can list your own items to get more credits (I now have 1400 credits, w00t!) I've gotten Starship Troopers for 188 credits, I just won a BSC book for 61 credits. I got an Abnormal Psych text for 1 credit!!!! I only bid on items that offer free shipping or local pick up (mostly free shipping, because less work for me) There is so much crap in my house that I need to get rid of... so for now I'm tossing it up on Listia to see if it sells. You should join. Because it's awesome. ... Also because if you join thru me , you get an extra 100 credits! Oh uhh and I get extra credits, too. :D Seriously. FREE STUFF.

How does this happen?

Never ever ever.

Now, I really don't care if she's wearing a mini-skirt that shows off her ass when she picks up her dropped cigarette. I don't even care if a boob popped out while she was dancing. I don't care if he's wearing a hot pink mesh tee (although, really? that is hideous) Rape is never ever the victim's fault. But 56% of women polled in the UK disagree. According to these women, you may be at fault if you: wear revealing clothing (honestly! NO ONE gets raped in the winter!) dance provocatively accept a drink from someone (because, face it, only a slut would let a guy buy her a drink) 18% of individuals polled believe that most rape claims are false. Well, after all this, it's not surprising that 23% of women at 15% of men polled had been made to have sex unwillingly. And of those asked, one in 25 said they would do nothing if they were raped. Most people said they would feel ashamed. Come ON, people! You are exacerbating the problem. Rapists know that there are po
