Aw geez

I think these pillows would be the perfect accent for the new slipper chairs in my office.

"Running"

I think one of the reasons I suck so much at keeping up with running is that I can't just open the door and take off. I have to get in my car and drive somewhere. I don't live somewhere that's even moderately safe to run outdoors. It's an apartment complex that opens out to a busy road. The only road nearby that isn't a major road has blind curves and fast drivers. Lame. It's about a 10 minute drive to somewhere that I can run without being concerned about my future as roadkill. The run is pretty. My only concern is avoiding goose poop. But getting my butt into the car in the mornings is hard sometimes. Thinking about bringing running gear to work and running after work on my way home. The greenway is convenient on my commute. And I think if I actually put the clothes on before leaving work, I'd probably run. Okay. I think I'll do that tomorrow. Oh and I did buy a bunch of stuff today. But most of it was for other people. I bought two things for m

Keep breaking Reddit

Image
So, I've been using Baconreader to browse reddit from my tablet. Got home today and opened it up. Saw this: What did I immediately do? *Tap* *Tap-tap* *Giggle* I kept breaking Reddit. I don't know why this amused me so much. I'm slightly retarded. But then I was sad because Reddit was broken. The hoards of East-coasters, all getting off of work at the same time. We break things.

Off and on again

I have fallen off pretty much every wagon I was on. Okay, so they weren't the traditional "no-booze" wagons. They were the No Shopping Wagon, the No Fast Food Wagon, etc etc. Although I do mean to stop drinking liquor. Stick to beer. I don't like beer as much and it'll make me drink less and save money. In the past week I've had Taco Bell, Sonic, and Chic-Fil-A. I'm a little embarrassed to mention that last one because I've been boycotting Chic-Fil-A for over a year. But the lure of their diet lemonade finally broke me. In the past week, I've bought a tablet and docking station, as you know, as well as a cover and stylus (SIGNIFICANTLY LESS EXPENSIVE THAN TIFFASAURUS' STYLUS). In the past week I haven't run once and I've been consistently hitting snooze to roll out of bed one hour before work instead of my usual 2.5-3 hours. I've been going out to eat ALL THE TIME because I'm so freaking lazy. Actually all of the abov

ZOMG

I charged my new Asus Transformer all day yesterday. When I got home, I unplugged it and played with it for several hours, without the keyboard dock. After about four hours of heavy use -- downloading apps, watching videos, playing games, touch-a touch-a touching EVERYTHING, it got down to around 50% battery life. Another hour of downloading stupid apps and playing puzzly type games and I was ready for bed. I decided to see how long the battery would last. I popped it onto the dock and closed it. I'm waking up to read 10 hours on battery with 100% battery life! WTF? The increase is due to the dock, but I was expecting, you know, less than 100% I should note that I have Juice Defender installed, and it probably turned off my wifi when I went to sleep. But still, that's pretty neat. I LOVE MY NEW TOY. P.S. I have Electric Sheep installed on my phone and I used it last night. Worked really well. It's neat looking at the graph to tell when you were tumbling.

FFS

And YES I realize the complete idiocy of posting this DIRECTLY AFTER hemming and hawing over a $1.00 app . Which K-Swiss thought was stupid. He eventually bought it for me since he figured he'd borrow a dollar from me at some point anyway. I am aware of how silly and full of nonsense I am. I will console myself with my shiny new tablet, thank you.

Honestly? Only kind of sorry

I kind of obliterated my 90-Day No Buy. I do feel guilty, but I'm really excited about my prezzie that should be here in a couple days. Ways in which I completely disregarded my No-Buy (not including gifts): * Bracelet - $10.73, Bijoux Bellagio (aka, the Ten Dollar Store) * Saddle Shoes and extra socks- $29.09, Payless * Hair clips - $4. 35, CVS * Booze - $40.40 * Asus Transformer and optional keyboard dock - $414.98 * Accessories for above - $13.38, Amazon and DealExtreme The first three items were purchased while traveling. I consider the "Booze" an entertainment expense, since I was buying a couple round for friends, but it will still be included in miscellaneous purchases when I finally do my 90 Day No Buy wrap. I've been wanting those saddle shoes for about a year. I thought Payless wasn't carrying them anymore. They were definitely worth the purchase. I've worn them on five out of the six days since I purchased them. And I hadn't brought a
