Monthly Highlights: February 2012

Our work study got into grad school, so I made everyone 100 calorie cupcakes. Except I didn't have cupcake papers, so I just made cake and we guessed on the size. It was delicious. I've been feeling lethargic again. Down. Sad. Not good. A little nihilistic. I'm unable to convince myself to start playing video games. When I'm at home, I lie in bed and listen to audio books while solving sudoku puzzles. This has been going on since sometime in January. I'm not sure when. For hours. I eventually start up a Sims game and make a homeless Pete, Sir Tim, and  K-Swiss, just to see what they'll do. In less than 24 game hours, Tim finds a space rock worth $12,000. So, that game is over. WTG Tim you suck. I'm going to stop drinking, or at least not drink much. Because I always feel shitty the next day. I start playing some Facebook games to encourage myself to game. It doesn't work. They're stupid. On the 11th, Rajive had his Movie Night. We official

Fitness

I've added a workout log. If you noticed from my January Highlights, I started working out again. I threw myself back into healthy fitness mode around the first week of the year. We'll in a little over a week I'll post my February highlights and you'll find that near the end of January I started getting depressed. It's just this thing that happens to me. And then I get all existential and a little nihilistic and I lie in bed because nothing actually matters. It didn't help that I was listening to The Vampire Lestat at the time and he was also going through an existential crisis (this is before he became a vampire). And then I started The Stranger but threw it down and didn't finish it. You can't start The Stranger and not finish it. You need to or else everything is ruined. FOREVER. Seriously, it's a short book, very short. Very good. But you must finish it. The ending is essential. But I didn't. So, I just got more upset about the meaningle

Monthly Highlights: January 2011

By Azura, by Azura! One month down. Twelve to go! I was sucessful at wearing a different outfit each day that I left the house. It hasn't gotten too challenging yet. Also sorry this is late. Because it is late, I've forgotten things. I need to keep on top. I retrieved my X-Files books from my parents attic.  K-Swiss was a little surprised to see just how obsessed with the X-Files I had been. A friend bought me all the DLC for Fallout New Vegas. Now I have plans. I successfully used a Fauxnad nail stamper for the first time. I had a T-Rex on my ring finger. Started working out again. Found these fucking amazing yummy protein bars: Balance bars COOKIE DOUGH flavor. K-Swiss tried to eat ALL OF THEM K-Swiss and I both had 3 day weekend and it was wonderful. It's not often we get time off together. Louie is in heat and has been driving us NUTSO. So we got her fixed. For $35. :) xoxo Spay Neuter Charlotte

K-Swiss and I were lounging on my bed so of COURSE George would want to join us. Once she saw that we had broken down and bought Magic cards, she did everything in her power to stop us. Basically laying her 12lb fat kitty body over the playing area. And promptly falling asleep. (click to enlarge for optimal cuteness)

Giveaways

Just a site update: There is a new tab which includes giveaways that I've entered that are currently open. I'll try to keep it updated. Edit: I've added a second post called "Currently Stargirl" which contains some current and latest things in the life of Stargirl.

Fucking bazinga: In which I rant

I've realized that I just really hate comedy television. The Awkward Moment Scenes that EVERY comedy show uses absolutely ruins television for me. I prefer the unexpected surprises that lead to humor. Like when the boss in IT Crowd walked out of the window. That was pretty funny. However, for my occasional television intake, I enjoy dramas for the most part. I love period pieces and anything that deals with the British peerage. So, a lot of Masterpiece Classic, actually. The only comedy television I enjoy is:  1) News comedy shows -- The Daily Show and The Colbert Report do not need to utilize awkward moments to get laughs (except occasionally during interviews). Politics is so ridiculous that forced humor is unnecessary. 2) Animated comedy shows -- You can do things via animation that you CANNOT do in real life. This give you more options for comedy. It's also harder to identify and empathize with animated characters, so Zapf Brannigan or Homor Simpson's lack of pants
