Pixel Imperfect

I've been seeing green smoothies everywhere and, you guys, there is no way I'm going to buy a bunch of kale and broccoli to make a smoothie. I'd probably forget about the greens and they'd all rot in my fridge. I bought a tub of berry flavored green superfood powder . Let me tell you, if I knew they made orange dreamsicle flavor, I'd've bought that instead. I'm eager to try the chocolate flavor  as well. Blend it with a little peanut butter, mmmmmm. Or Nutella, ohhhh. Probably not super healthy.... Maybe I should skip the chocolate flavor. My goal: at least one green smoothie each day. Yesterday was a trial run. I first tried to just mix the green powder with water. YUCK. It was awful. I tossed it in the blender with some vanilla whey protein powder and coconut water powder (it cost less and takes up less space than actual coconut water) along with a handful of ice. Every August, there is a mass influx of posts about class from new college students. Posts about 8AM classes and about papers, and homework, etc etc.  Whenever I see them, it makes me happy. I never have to go to class EVER AGAIN.

When I was a kid, my dad used to tell me something along these lines: if you're over 30 and you're not a republican, you're an idiot. If you're under 30 and you're not a democrat, you're an idiot. Something like that. I think that needs to be amended. If you make more than $388,351 and you're not a republican, you're an idiot. If you make less than that and you're not a democrat, you're an idiot. Anyway, it's not really accurate, neither statement is. There are more things to vote on than taxes. But seriously, who in their right mind would vote for Romney??

Wardrobe Black Pencil Skirt : These are my #1 favorite wardrobe item. You can pair them with any top and a pair of pumps for an instant work appropriate get up. They leave little room for the sleepy brain the screw things up. Ponte knit versions are comfortable and wrinkle free, so while I have black pencil skirts in various fabrics, ponte knit is king Black Pumps : I love to bookend my looks  so I lean towards dark pumps. I haven't found many chocolate pumps that I'm a fan of, so black is the way to go.  Ballet Flats: A must have. They look great with skirts or jeans, they're cuter than sneaker and they're more comfortable than heels. Camisole:  I don't think I could dress for the day without camisoles. I wear one everyday to add a little coverage to low cut or transparent tops or to add a pop of color. Solid color tee: These can go with jeans on the weekend or with the above pencil skirts for a business casual outfit. I like dressy knit tops from BR or A
