The Asylum Challenge

The Asylum Challenge Stick 8 Sims (with 100% free will) in a small house with no door to the outside, one oven and insufficient beds. Seeing them slowly lose their minds and burn each other accidentally with the oven is just so entertaining. Extra fun to bet on whoever will end up being the last one alive. I like to think that it's like Big Brother but with murder. ... I think I know what we're doing this weekend!

Brand New Big Lots

Image
We've finally gotten a Big Lots in town and boy am I glad it didn't arrive a year ago. I would've filled up on all the excess makeup I don't need. There was a ton of Maybelline products from eyeshadow quads to Mineral Powder liquid, powder and concealer. There were nail stamping kits and nail art polish. Mineral Power in the top left. Some Dream Mousse blush or maybe bronzer below that. Revlon Age Defying foundation. I think the lipsticks in the red tube (top center) are Maybelline, and then some Covergirl lipgloss. Lots of random Colormates crap. A row of SoftLips going off center right. Revlon and Sally Hansen polish duos. Various LaCross implements. Nail Art polish and, coolest of all, nail stamping kits. Those are can be fun... but they are pretty challenging and can cause headaches and slight rage. Various Maybelline eyeshadows, pretty stuff. Some Revlon Color Stay Quads (I have this shade, thanks Tiffasaurus!) and Mineral Mousse foundation. HiP

Yeah, these still kinda suck

I've been using Maybelline Color Tattoo cream shadows lately, which I really love. I love them almost as much as I love my Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream shadow. I felt encouraged to try out my old Revlon cream shadows . About the Revlon cream shadows? They're not the greatest. First off, they aren't super pigmented so don't expect Aqua Cream level payoffs. Second, they crease unless you use a base and apply them in thin layers. Lastly, I recommend setting them with a powder. Nevertheless, I wanted to test them out. 8 new shades of cream shadows? How could I resist? I decided to experiment with two different primers. I primed one lid with Urban Decay Primer Potion in Sin and one lid with Maybelline Color Tattoo in Barely Beige, from last line to brow. They're a fairly similar shade. I'll have to swatch them next to each other. I took the darkest gray shade, the fourth shade in the photo below, in Revlon Illuminance Cream Shadow in Twilight. I patted a thin c

Best Compliment Ever

In the courthouse elevator on the way to the jury waiting room. Another juror, a young black man, his pregnant girlfriend, and myself. Girl: is that a skirt or a dress? Me: Oh, it's a dress with a shirt on top. Um. I like to layer. Man: Mmmm, I gotta get my baby mama something like that. Girl, you rocking that! Basically the weirdest compliment I've ever received. I said Thanks and the elevator doors opened. Serendipity.

John Lennon

Press: How did you find America John: Turn left at Greenland.  Press: Does it bother you that you can't hear what you sing during concerts? John: No, we don't mind. We've got the records at home. Press: Are you scared when crowds scream at you? John: More so in Dallas than in other places, perhaps.  Press: Can we look forward to any more Beatle movies? John: Well, there'll be many more but I don't know whether you can look forward to them or not.  Press: Does your hair require any special attention? John: Inattention is the main thing.  Press: How do you feel about teenagers imitating you with Beatle wigs? John: They're not imitating us because we don't wear Beatle wigs.

BATTLESTATION!

K-Swiss is going to help me build a new computer! I'm so excited! I look at some info on how to do it, but I saw the word "thermal paste" and just clicked away. I don't know what thermal paste is, but it sounds like something I could use to break things. I want to play The Witcher 2! I want to see Skyrim in all it's glory instead of my awful Gamecube graphics (serious, everything looks like complete shite on my computer). I'll probably have to by a second desk from Ikea (around $40, my current desk cost a whopping $25) and make an L-Shaped desk. I'd like to keep my laptop set up next to my new computer. It probably won't be before we move (about 6 weeks) which is a good thing. I need time to get rid of all the stuff I own and don't use before I buy by new things. Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee NEW ELECTRONICS! Is there anything sweeter???

And I am soooo lazy.

You guys... Banquet makes APPLE PIE. It's in the grocery store right next to the pot pies. I literally LITERALLY cannot think of a better meal than eating a pot pie and then an apple pie, one after another. Seriously. Seriously? This is genius. Apparently they also make peach pie. I think Marie Callender makes fruit pies, too, but her pies are like two fiddy. One dolla Banquet pies! Awwww yeaahhhh
