Pixel Imperfect

No outfit photo, I'll post it later, but I do have a haul to share. I didn't mean to come home with $18 bottles of nail polish yesterday, but somehow, I did. A few of them are not for me. I have a friend who recently discovered nail polish and it's getting their mind off of a recent break-up. A couple of the polishes are for them. Total spent was approximately $35 (including tax). Everything except for Sinful Colors was on clearance or sale. You can bet that I wasn't about to wait for a sale to snap up the Leather Luxe collection, although I probably could've waited for the three permanents. I actually looked for my camera last night and couldn't find it. It's in an abandoned purse, stuffed on a rack in my closet, I'm sure. My face hurts, you guys. No seriously, I don't know about you but when I get a cold it just kinda settles in my sinuses. And I roll around on the bed complaining that my face hurts. I don't know how KSwiss has managed NOT to say "yeah, it's killing me!" Being sick makes the day drag on. I haven't taken days off of work. I don't know if I look like a trooper or an sick idiot, but this is an important week at work and I'd rather not be at home. Rolling around on the bed. Whinging about how my faaaaaace hurrrrrts. And chugging Day-quil, duh. The day basically goes like this: 9am, get to work, take a swig of DQ, make some oatmeal, clean up the microwave, sit down to eat, check headlines and get to work. 10am shocked that it's only 10am, consider taking another swig of DQ, think better of it, blow disgusting nose, continue working 11am, Goggle at the clock which insists it's still morning-unpossible!, take a small swig of DQ and blow nose ...

This is what I wore today. I've got nothing to say about it. MY FACE HURTS (more on this later) I've also included a photo of me, in my closet, with my shirt and vest unbuttoned. I thought, this looks cool, I'll take a pic. Enjoy the morning hair. Day 25 (Tuesday): Black skinny trousers, blue button up, black vest, black pumps.

Day 21(Wednesday): Black skinny cords, white dotted tee, black cardigan, black embellished flats In addition, we have a pick of my freshly re-dyed hair and Day 22 (Thursday): Black jeggings, purple dress, black boots Day 23 (Friday): Skinny jeans, black tee, furry vest, embellished flats I'm quite sad that I forgot to photograph this outfit, as it marks the first furry vest wearing of the not-quite-Fall. I took it off once it warmed up, though. No weekend pics this time. KSwiss has made me ill and I spent all weekend lying about feeling poorly. Day 24 (Monday): Gray skinny trousers, navy thin-knit turtleneck sweater, black pumps. Oh and I wore my "leather" jacket into work today. Still feeling poorly, but powering through.

I didn't know that 3-ply tissues was a thing. Did you? It is. And Nice! (the latest rebranding of Walgreens' generic line) makes 3-ply tissue with lotion. It's way better than their "natural" tissue which feels like rubbing shitty rest stop toilet paper on your face. Cheaper, too. Please note the pleasing orange color of the tissue box which matches the cough syrup. (Totally on purpose.) The orange Healthy Accents (Food Lion) cough syrup is basically the same as Day-quil, but it's probably a few dollars cheaper. Being the delicious orange version, you don't even need a dosage cup. Just toss the bottle in your bag and take a swig every few hours. If you have no shame, just keep it on your desk with a straw. With any luck, your boss will be disgusted and send you home. Day 20 (Tuesday): Black skinny cords (Miley & Max*), black patterned blouse (xhilaration), Red puff sleeve blouse (Loft), black flats (xhilaration) That's right. I'm wearing Miley clothes. I love 'em. Close up so you can finally see the pattern of the black patterned blouse I've mentioned. It's sleeveless, so nice for layering. The earrings are from Paparazzi and feel like they're made of tin, but at least they are not too heavy to wear. Successfully did not bite the lip at all yesterday Day 19 (Monday): Marbled red skinny trousers (Mossimo), Black/gray striped sweater (xhilaration), black embellished flats I cannot recall the maker of the flats, but they're from Rack Room Shoes. Day 16: Black skinny trousers, gray sheer sweater (Loft), pearl collared blouse (Forever 21), black pumps (Mossimo) The brand of my black pants is unknown. Mostly because I can't see what's written on the tag right now. Hair braided and pulled off to the side to get it out of my way. I tried to get some like in the photo, but the position of our mirror and our window means only the bottom half of me gets any outdoor light. I'll have to try it next time I'm wearing red pants, though, so that they do not look black No closeup, but I did my nails. Two thin coats of Julep Annette , topped with one thin coat of Julep Amelia . A lilac-y gray topped with a sheer champagne. Strange combo, but I'm a fan. My hair was in a weird mood today, so it's hiding. It's having a day like me. Just like me. I stood in front of my co-workers office, said some nonsense, and just stood there like "wait, what?" she said "are you having a Monday?" and laughed. Except I'll eventually wake up. My hair just needs to be forced into submission. No closeup pic, but the side has a small-ish braid which lead back to the low braided bun. My overgrown undercut is sticking out and my boss-boss (that's my bloggoterm for the highest up boss in my direct office) thought that I chopped off all of my hair. Running late this morning -- for me running late means I get to work between 9:01-9:05. I would much prefer to get there by 8:55 but honestly 6-10 minutes isn't going to break me. I was hardcore role playing and if I thought I'd made a decision that didn't mesh with her character, I'd reload, sometimes loosing several hours of gameplay. Last night KSwiss and I went out for sushi! It's fun having a random date on a weekday night. He started his new position today, and we also had nothing appetizing in the house, so it wasn't hard to convince him to go out.
