Thinking about doing the Navy thing again. But the politics of it confounds me. I'll have to swear to support the Commander-in-Chief of the US Armed Forces. The man who currently holds that office being George Bush. And we all know how much I love dear Bush! And will joining the US Armed Forces mean that I condon all the acts of the military? Because I don't. Will it mean that I'm taking the side of the oppressor in a more prominent way? I'm not sure what position I am in currently. I very much on the side of the oppressed (look where I'm at) but how much am I doing to prevent the opressor?
"If you say you are neutral in a situation of social injustice, you are taking the side of the opressor. If an elephant has his foot on the tail of a mouse, and you say you are neutral, the mouse will not appreciate your neutrality."
