I chime in with a "haven't you people ever heard of closing the *damn door!" No, it's much better to face this kinds of things with a sense of poise and rationality.

I had a class that changed the way I thought about a lot of things. We read books that really made you think and we had some great discussion. I mean some of the books, like "New Atlantis" by bacon... when I realized what was going on, I was like "Woah!" Completely shocked. I want to bring that here. I have a feeling there is no class at AU that will make you really think, and perhaps change the way you think. I am almost positive there is no reading of Aristotle or Plato here! Definitly not Bacon or Locke or Dostoevsky. (Anyone who knows me knows what class I'm talking about now, for sure!) I'd never know how to bring that here... that is the problem....
