Okay, I had breakfast and I feel re-energized. Back to what I was talking about last night:

Thursday night, I was up for about 3 hours, trying unsucessfully to sleep. I was thinking and thinking, just like I used to. You may not know this, but I used to be terribly contemplative. My parents thought I was rather odd.

I was troubled with something and eventually, I picked up my rosary and asked God to help me sort it out. I prayed the rosary and, my, it was wonderful! I felt so much better. Friday ended up being an incredible day. I'm not sure what's going to happen with the think that I'm wondering about, but God will help me figure it all out. Isn't this great?

I told Ann whenever she goes to Mass before dinner to pick me up on her way. I also would like to go to Lauds sometimes. That would be mighty fine. I tried on Friday. I set my alarm for 6 am. I woke up, turn it off, and woke up again at 7:30. Ah, I tried. I told Dad and he said he'd pray for me that I'd be able to wake up and go. :-) What a wonderful Dadders he is!!!

And, maybe I'm weird, but I love going into my professors offices (like, the ones that I'm kinda on friendly terms with) and just chatting. I used to go into Dr. Cote's office and chat all the time. She's wonderful. Yesterday, I went to Dr. William's office because Exodus seems a little odd to me (here's a bag of tricks, now take this extremely roundabout way to get to the promised land....) and after talking about that we chatted.

Last night, before Tiwari's movie night, Ann and I went into Dr. Tiwari's office and chatted for a while. So great! I had just told Ann that I'd had a dream that four of my professors here were blackbelts in Kuk Sool Won and sparring. Of course, I had to tell Professor Tiwari.... He'd won! He'd beaten all the other black belts.

Erica came into the room and said she had to borrow me. "We need to stick you behind the vending machines to see if a child were hiding back there if we could find them." I hid behind Ann. Prof. Tiwari told her that she could not. I had just made him a 2nd degree black belt, he said. It was the least he could do.

And we all had such a good laugh!

Do you get this kind of close rapport with your professors at large universities? I don't know. I know I didn't get it at Greenville Tech or Anderson University.

I love the Abbey!!!
