Fall 2008

YAYYYYYY! I get to take Genetics next semester!!!!

See, I haven't had Cell Biology -- the prerequisite for Genetics. However, to get a BS in Psych, I need two upper level sciences. I've already had microbiology. Genetics is really the only upper level biology that is applicable to psychology. I think. Anyway, I'm really interested in Genetics, but I need permission from the instructor. I e-mailed her, asking to come by and talk with her about it.

I got a reply saying "I have spoken with your advisor, and feel confident that you can handle genetics next semester." Yay! I'm really very excited.

So, next semester I am taking Genetics + Genetics Lab, Abnormal Psychology, Demography, Statistics for Social Sciences, and English Lit.

This summer I am taking Intro to Philosophy: Modern to Contemporary, and Theories of Personality.

What a great course load! Gosh, academically speaking, everything has just gotten a lot better since the beginning of this semester.

Unfortunately, I have to take English lit in the fall and the only time I can fit it in is during one of Fowler's sections. The two other sections are during my Genetics class. Oh well. I can handle him. I've got to, anyway. I've got to take English lit in the fall and Great Books in the spring. Not too much leeway there.

uk, why do all women take biology classes. How about a nice physics class or two, that's good stuff!!

Wow, how sexist. Thanks. Some people like physics, some people like chemistry, some like bio, etc etc.

Tell me how physics is applicable to psychology? Genetics is.

Well you know how when you're walking to psychology class you don't fly off the face of the earth? That's PHYSICS, and it's applicable EVERYWHERE!

Lol! Actually, I prefer to fly to class. :-P
