Booking Through Thursday: Collectibles

I don't collect much, I'm sorry to say. So, I'm just going to answer about my books in general.
  • Hardcover? Or paperback?: I love paperbacks. I love just tossing a book in my purse and carrying it around with me. For the more special things, I like hardbacks, but for the most part, I love paperbacks.
  • Illustrations? Or just text? Illustrations are good in informative texts and texts for younger people. Le Petit Prince would be lacking somehow sans de Saint-Exupery's dessins... Buuttt, speaking of collectibles, my ex had the Complete Works of Shakespeare, Illustrated, and it was lovely!
  • First editions? Or you don’t care? Oh, I don't care much. Again, I'm not a book collector. But I do love older books! I love the way old books smell. Is that silly?
  • Signed by the author? Or not? Well, this would be neat, but I can't see myself seeking it out in most circumstances.
Well, my answers were a little lame, but I'm not a collector.


Now, last week I said I'd put up photos of my shelves. Be prepared, this is in a college dorm, so I'm giving them to you AS IS. Meaning, I didn't clean up the papers and drinks etc. I PROMISE my books will be given a happier home when I graduate.

It was a good thing home was close by during college so I could run home and exchange books to read, there is just not enough space! Complete Works of Shakespeare, Illustrated would be great!
