New Toy
EDIT: I ended up playing with my camera and got it to take much better photos than the ones below, but I can't be bothered to upload them. You know me.
I don't know anything about cameras. All I know is that mine is crap. So I got a new camera since today is National Buy Stuff Day. This is NOT a review of this camera. I don't know enough about camera-y things to review.
Below are pictures from my new and old cameras. The old one is a Fujifilm Finepix A820. The new one is a Sony Cybershot DSC-WX9. I don't really know how to use it yet, so everything is on the auto settings. There are a heck of a lot of settings. For each of the "new camera" pictures, I took a couple and chose from that. For each of the old camera pictures, I took about 20 and took the lesser of all evils.
Photo of Louis in the bedroom with the lights off:
New Camera. Love this pic. Even though it's blurry and whatnot. It's hard not to get a blurry pic of Louis.
And of course, the photo of me in the bathroom.
One thing that's really standing out to me is the color. The new camera is much truer to color. I actually kinda like the below photo better because it's softer, but I know there is a way to do that on my new camera. I just don't know how. Yet. It did come with a book, I guess I should read that. Oh and look how much closer my hand is to the mirror in the above picture. That's also to do with what I was talking about above.
Oh and my FOTD? ELF Essentail concealer, Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder, and NYC Showtime mascara. Total cost is probably less than $5. And the fleece I'm wearing is from Target. I got it today for $10 when I went to grab the Nikon L310. They were sold out. I'm not too bummed. This new camera takes 1920x1080/60i HD movies. Weeee.

The old camera simply wouldn't take the photo fast enough. And it makes an awful noise when focusing that scared Louis.

One thing I noticed is that from the same distance, the new camera photographs larger areas. Does that make sense? I'm standing in the same spot in the above and below photos, holding the camera in the same spot. Also, the old camera highlights dirty mirrors. THUMBS DOWN.
Close up of me in the bathroom. Kinda close to the vanity lights.

This is the only setting I've figured out at all. It blurs the background.
