Thursday Thirteen #6

I was going to do: "Thirteen Things I'd Never Say To Your Face" which would be things that I want to say to specific (anonymous) people but I haven't done so and I may never.

But it was making me angry and sad. I don't care if it's cathartic. I don't feel much like doing it. I am doing something I like much better:

Thirteen of Tiwari's "Other" Movies

The last Friday of every month, Dr. Rajive Tiwari (author of Facebook Status as Poetry) shows a independant, usually lesser known film, to students here at Belmont Abbey College, and we discuss it. It is not part of a class. It's just something we enjoy. Each semester there is a theme. Included below are movies from the themes "Religion" "Fathers and Sons" "Home, Sweet Home," among others.

A/n: I may update this to include a little blurb: what I thought about each movie. But I don't feel like doing that right now

Out of these films, my favorites were I Shot Andy Warhol and Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter ... and Spring.

There are four movies each semester. The next one is March 27th at 7pm in the Belmont Abbey College Science Auditorium. You are welcome to join us. :-)

Of these films I've seen Frida, Billy Eliiot, and Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter..and Spring (which I loved too).
I love 'different' films, so will be looking out for some of the others - thanks ;0)

I saw Frida for an art class a couple years ago and In Between Days on DVD at a friends. I enjoyed them both. I will have to check out more of the films on your list.

I haven't seen any of those films. Must look into them. What I found interesting was the Facebook status as Poetry post. A very interesting idea. Probably much more satisfying than reading those trite and humdrum status lines now.

Oh I loved Requiem for a Dream - that was one disturbing and trippy flick with great performances.

FUCK I haven't really felt much like writing lately. Can you tell? So, I'm bored and I don't want to sleep because I don't want to dream tonight. I've been kinda bummed lately. Why? Who could say?
